Shares of health and wellness products company USANA Health Sciences (NYSE: USNA) fell 4.4% in the morning session after the company reported a net loss of $5.6 million for the third quarter of 2026 alongside a 4% decline in net sales.
According to a company press release, USANA reported that consolidated net sales dropped to $206 million from the previous year. The release also said adjusted EBITDA fell 13% year over year to $12.1 million.
Furthermore, the company updated its full-year 2026 financial guidance, projecting net sales approaching $900 million and adjusted EBITDA of $77 million. The combination of contracting top-line revenue and an attributable net loss appeared to rattle market confidence, leading investors to reevaluate USANA's near-term profitability.

What is the market telling us
USANA’s shares are quite volatile and have had 18 moves greater than 5% over the last year. In that context, today’s move indicates the market considers this news meaningful but not something that would fundamentally change its perception of the business.
The biggest move we wrote about over the last year was 3 months ago when the stock dropped 29.5% on the news that the company reported second-quarter 2026 results that missed Wall Street's expectations for both revenue and earnings. The health and wellness company's revenue came in at $223 million, a 5.4% decline from the previous year and below the consensus estimate of $235 million. The earnings miss was even more pronounced, with the company posting an adjusted loss of $0.07 per share, which was significantly worse than analysts' forecasts for a profit of $0.43 per share. These disappointing results overshadowed the fact that USANA reaffirmed its full-year revenue guidance, which was slightly above Wall Street's expectations, as investors focused on the weak current performance.
USANA is down 29.4% since the beginning of the year, and at $13.72 per share, it is trading 41% below its 52-week high of $23.24 from July 2026. Investors who bought $1,000 worth of USANA’s shares 5 years ago would now be looking at only $133.82.
