Arizona Covid-19 cases double since July, as virus rebounds nationwide

While the latest numbers are not near the huge amount of new cases reported in one week of early January 2022 at the height of the pandemic, experts say there are almost certainly more going uncounted, and that those numbers are likely to continue rising. Still, the latest strain is considered to be less lethal than the earlier variants of Covid-19.
