Los Angeles, California Aug 5, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - "Devoured" an edge-of-your-seat thriller based on the true-life story of the Sheila LaBarre murders, penned by Lisa K. Crosato is currently in development. She has teamed up with Joe Spanos and Sheila's sister Lynn Noojin to produce the feature set in Epping, New Hampshire. When Joe Spanos met Lynn Noojin years ago, a strong friendship was sparked, and he knew he had to tell the story of Lynn's sister's turbulent life. The idea was to tell the story from the point of view and narration of Lynn. Crosato said what intrigued her the most when learning about Sheila's story was that there were two siblings who had shared a troubled and abusive childhood but had extremely different outcomes.
Since Lynn Noojin is a producer in the project, there will be new details never before shared with the public in any book or film to date.
Sheila LaBarre was manipulative, charming, fiery, and easily prone to anger according to the three producers. After Sheila's dysfunctional childhood she became obsessed with pedophiles. This was further exacerbated after her near-death car accident which plunged Sheila into an 8-day coma. After recovering from the coma, she claimed to have a vision that men with long white beards and white robes told her that it wasn't her time and that she was sent back to earth to become an avenging angel and rid the world of pedophiles.
As the interest in the Sheila LaBarre story gains momentum, A&E is set to release its upcoming episode "Sheila the Peeler" on FIRST BLOOD premiering this Saturday, August 6th at 8:00 PM Central Time.
