What Happened?

Shares of health and wellness products company USANA Health Sciences (NYSE: USNA) fell 29.5% in the morning session after the company reported second-quarter 2026 results that missed Wall Street's expectations for both revenue and earnings. The health and wellness company's revenue came in at $223 million, a 5.4% decline from the previous year and below the consensus estimate of $235 million.

The earnings miss was even more pronounced, with the company posting an adjusted loss of $0.07 per share, which was significantly worse than analysts' forecasts for a profit of $0.43 per share. These disappointing results overshadowed the fact that USANA reaffirmed its full-year revenue guidance, which was slightly above Wall Street's expectations, as investors focused on the weak current performance.

What Is The Market Telling Us

USANA’s shares are quite volatile and have had 18 moves greater than 5% over the last year. But moves this big are rare even for USANA and indicate this news significantly impacted the market’s perception of the business.

The previous big move we wrote about was 16 days ago when the stock gained 2.9% on the news that the company announced it renewed its partnership with Nordiq Canada, the national governing body for cross-country skiing, extending the agreement through the 2030 Olympic Winter Games. Under the renewed terms, USANA will continue its role as the official nutrition partner for Canada's elite cross-country ski athletes. The company will keep supplying its NSF Certified for Sport® nutritional products, which are tested to be free from banned substances, to support athlete performance and health. This long-term commitment reinforces the company's brand association with clean sport and elite athletic performance, though financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

USANA is down 18.2% since the beginning of the year, and at $15.90 per share, it is trading 50.7% below its 52-week high of $32.24 from August 2025. Investors who bought $1,000 worth of USANA’s shares 5 years ago would now be looking at only $165.00.
