LONGMONT, Colo. - Oct. 15, 2026 - PRLog -- For the ninth consecutive year, GreenPoint Roofing is preparing to honor a deserving veteran with a gift that provides lasting protection and peace of mind: a new roof, installed on Veterans Day itself.
As the November 11 holiday approaches, GreenPoint Roofing is asking the Northern Colorado community to help find a local veteran who could benefit from a roof replacement. The company has not yet selected this year's recipient and is welcoming nominations from family members, friends, neighbors, fellow veterans, and local veteran-serving organizations.
For GreenPoint Roofing, this annual donation is about more than replacing a roof. It is an opportunity to recognize the sacrifices made by those who have served our country and to give back to someone who deserves to feel supported by their community.
Now in its ninth year, the Veterans Day roof replacement has become a meaningful tradition for the Longmont-based company. Each year, GreenPoint Roofing dedicates Veterans Day to completing the donated roof.
GreenPoint Roofing is particularly interested in nominations from Northern Colorado. A nominee may be a veteran who has a roof in need of replacement and could use a helping hand. Community members are encouraged to share a veteran's story and explain why they believe that person would be a deserving recipient.
How to Nominate a Veteran
Anyone interested in nominating a veteran is encouraged to contact GreenPoint Roofing and provide:
- The veteran's name and contact information, if available
- A brief description of their military service
- Information about their roofing needs and why a replacement would make a difference
- The nominator's name and contact information
Nominations can be sent to admin@greenpointroofing.com or submitted by contacting GreenPoint Roofing at 720-684-5500 or greenpointroofing.com
While there is no formal nomination deadline, GreenPoint Roofing hopes to select this year's recipient by November 1, 2026, to allow time to coordinate the project ahead of Veterans Day.
The company encourages community members to share this announcement with anyone who may know a deserving veteran. As GreenPoint Roofing prepares for its ninth annual donation, the goal remains the same: to honor a veteran through an act of service and remind them that their community has not forgotten their sacrifices.
