The metaverse expands on the current Internet, which is primarily a network of computers, by providing a network that combines the real and virtual worlds that are all represented digitally. It is important to note that any world that can be programmed, which means that virtual worlds like Second Life, can also be included in this network or metaverse.
The metaverse will include various digital objects and places, such as movies, television shows, video games, newspapers, blogs, books, sculptures, people's workspaces, paintings, and homes. Basically, the metaverse is a virtual reality platform where people have the ability to create and experience anything that their imagination can come up with, with other people from other parts of the world. Its technological basis will be virtual reality (VR) technology in combination with blockchain-based governance and economic systems. The metaverse will serve as the foundation of people’s digital lives. It will be an interactive 3D shared space that will go beyond any physical boundaries and allow people to project their imagined realities and share them with other people all over the world.

In the part 2 video, Ray from BEES.Social explains that the metaverse is where the real world and the virtual world are fused together. This serves as an ultimate VR platform where there are limitless ways for people to create whatever they can imagine, whether these are NFTs, games, movies, music, or anything in the crypto space. Dusty Ray, who was previously featured in BEES.Social videos as the NFT sniper, believes the metaverse is a lot like the film, “The Matrix,” where people lived in a world where their bodies were actually their digital representations.
In the part 3 video, it is explained that the metaverse is actually the start of Web 3.0 and is therefore just starting to be built. To better understand what would be Web 3.0, Ray from BEES.Social recalls how the Internet began and the emergence of the first World Wide Web or Web 1.0, which occurred from 1991 to 2004. He points out that the early web pages were simply Wiki pages. It was in 2004 when Web 2.0 came into effect with the result that websites became interactive and even started to collect information about people, allowing ads to be shown on computers based on what the computer user had searched or discussed.
And finally, in part 4, Ray and Dusty point out that Web 3.0 will allow people to have choices whether they want a decentralized web experienced or the centralized web experience. In the present version of the web, which is Web 2.0, companies simply took advantage of various ways of monetizing the people using the web. In the present web, individuals had very little control while organizations asked them to provide personal info as a way to gain access to their platform and services. And these organizations monetized this to gain profit. In Web 3.0, the power goes back to the people using the web. Individuals regain ownership of their personal data. Ray and Dusty point out that Web 3.0 is the original vision for the world wide web where all people can benefit from it. Now, with the emergence of decentralized systems and the crypto system and Web 3.0, people are empowered to monetize themselves.
