FingerMotion (NASDAQ: FNGR) provided an update on its Alberta power and compute development program, where it is advancing ten 9.9-megawatt behind-the-meter generation and data hall sites across four campuses in Brooks, Coronation, Fox Creek and Vulcan. The sites represent 99 megawatts of gross generation capacity in development and approximately 72 megawatts of aggregate continuous critical IT capacity. FingerMotion is the sole shareholder of the dedicated Alberta project company for each site, with each project company holding title to the land, permits and site agreements. BlueFlare Group Holdings Inc. performs development, construction and site operations but holds no title to the project assets.
FingerMotion is targeting completion of permitting for all 10 sites by the end of the first quarter of 2027, with site energization expected to begin in late fourth quarter 2026 and data hall turnover approximately 18 months after the applicable permit is awarded. The company plans to secure long-term take-or-pay agreements with artificial intelligence and high-performance computing customers before committing construction capital to individual sites. FingerMotion also intends to begin permitting an additional 15 9.9-megawatt sites in the first quarter of 2027, expanding its campuses as customer demand requires. The company will provide the power and physical data center infrastructure while customers supply their own GPUs, servers, network equipment, transport and platform software.
