Green Hydrogen company H2PLT, founded by Sisco Sapena, prepares to go public on BME Scale

--News Direct--

Madrid, 1 August - Spanish Green hydrogen company H2PLT, founded by European Sisco Sapena, has hired Solventis as a registered advisor to list on BME Scale, the new segment of the Spanish stock exchange.

H2PLT is a renewable energy company focused on green and solar energy through Spain's first green hydrogen mini-generation network.

Founded and promoted by Sapena, who is also CEO and founder of the listed multinational Lleida.net (BME:LLN) (EPA: ALN) (OTCQX:LLEIF), H2PLT has developed a unique model that enables innovative uses of hydrogen in underdeveloped applications, such as its use as an electrification vector and implementation in power plants or hydrogen plants.

BME Scale, which was publicly unveiled a few days ago, is a segment targeted at growth companies, which aims to provide the necessary transparency to investors and simplify the incorporation requirements for companies.

"We are breaking barriers in using green hydrogen," Sapena said. "We are not only focusing on production but creating a modular and scalable ecosystem adapted to Spanish energy and infrastructure circumstances, pushing the boundaries of what has been thought so far about what this green energy source can achieve," he said.

Based in Lleida, the company seeks to promote electrified mobility and its innovative uses by developing small photovoltaic plants dedicated exclusively to generating green hydrogen and its subsequent collection. This modular and replicable model can be implemented in various locations in Spain and Europe.

Construction has also begun on one of the largest electric filling stations in Castilla La Mancha in El Pedernoso, Cuenca, equipped with more than 20 electric refueling stations, where vehicles can refuel hydrogen soon.

The company started operations in February 2022, and its current team consists of seven members, including internationally recognized specialists in the field of fuel cells.

Green hydrogen is produced using renewable energy sources, such as wind or solar power, to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. It is a clean, renewable fuel for transport, power generation, and other applications.

There is currently a solid geopolitical interest on the part of the European Union to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen generation networks. Recently, the European Commission announced the launch of the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance due to the lack of an ecosystem capable of meeting the energy needs of the next 15 years.
