On February 28, 2024, after the market close, Inari Medical announced fourth quarter and full-year 2023 financial results and disclosed receipt of a civil investigative demand in December 2023 from the U.S. Department of Justice (“DOJ”) in connection with an investigation under the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and Civil False Claims Act over certain payments to healthcare professionals.  During the Company conference call, Chief Financial Officer Mitch Hill stated that the DOJ is “primarily requesting information related to meals and consulting service payments provided to healthcare professionals.”
