-- On March 10, Guangxi Electric Power Vocational and Technical College, together with Haier Smart Home Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Haier Smart Home”), as well as several vocational colleges and vocational education centers in Thailand, held the opening ceremony of the “First Haier International Craftsman Order Class of the China–Thailand Green Power Modern Craftsman College” in Nanning.
At the opening ceremony, Xu Wubin, President of Guangxi Electric Power Vocational and Technical College, representatives from Haier Smart Home’s South China Supply Chain Park, and principals and faculty representatives from partner institutions in Thailand attended the event. All parties engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as deepening international cooperation in vocational education and promoting the cultivation of technical and skilled talents in green energy.
It is reported that the order class was jointly initiated by Guangxi Electric Power Vocational and Technical College and Haier Smart Home, and is implemented in collaboration with institutions including the Vocational Education Center of Northeast Thailand (covering four regions), Sisaket Technical College, Ubon Technical College, Khammarat Technical College, Namphong Technical College, and Sawang Daen Din Technical College. Relying on enterprise industry demands and institutional teaching resources, the program adopts a training model of “Chinese language + skills + enterprise internship,” building an integrated talent development system that combines professional course teaching, job skills training, and enterprise practice, thereby promoting precise alignment between talent cultivation and industrial development needs.
In recent years, Guangxi Electric Power Vocational and Technical College has actively integrated into the broader framework of China–ASEAN open cooperation, continuously deepening international exchanges and cooperation in vocational education, and exploring the formation of an international collaborative education model of “college–college–enterprise.” The launch of this order class marks an important practice in deepening vocational education cooperation with ASEAN countries, and also provides a new platform for cultivating technical and skilled talents in the field of green power and serving regional industrial development.
The college will rely on cooperative platforms such as the China–ASEAN Modern Craftsman College to further expand cooperation with counterpart institutions in ASEAN countries and Chinese enterprises “going global,” promote the sharing of vocational education resources and joint talent cultivation, support China–ASEAN green power capacity cooperation, and cultivate more high-quality technical and skilled talents who are “proficient in Chinese and skilled in technology.”
