Semaglutide Weight Loss Prescription Without Insurance: Member Price Announced

LiveGood Clinic is improving access to semaglutide, an FDA-approved weight loss medication, via its updated members-only asynchronous telehealth platform.

-- With the cost of GLP-1 medications, like semaglutide, continuing to rise, and access often restricted by insurance requirements, the clinic now offers eligible patients a simplified and affordable way to obtain prescription weight loss injections, bypassing traditional insurance requirements and costly retail pricing.

Through its asynchronous telehealth model, LiveGood Clinic eliminates the need for live video consultations or office visits. Members complete a two-minute online health assessment, and licensed physicians review each case before prescribing. Approved prescriptions are shipped to the patient’s home within four to six business days, with tracking provided.

“Our goal is to deliver safe, efficient access to clinically backed weight loss treatments like Semaglutide, without unnecessary barriers,” said a LiveGood Clinic spokesperson.

Semaglutide is typically prescribed for patients with a BMI of 30 or more or those with a BMI over 27 and a related health condition. LiveGood Clinic now offers this medication to members for $179 per month, compared to the typical $299 retail cost. Membership plans are priced at $9.95 per month or $99.95 per year and are required in order to access the clinic’s services.

Clinical research continues to support the use of semaglutide in weight management. In a STEP 5 trial published in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, participants lost an average of 15.2% of their body weight over 104 weeks. A separate study in the NEJM reported a 14.9% average weight reduction over 68 weeks, along with improvements in blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and waist circumference.

By removing common barriers, like high out-of-pocket costs and time-consuming appointments, LiveGood Clinic supports patients who might otherwise delay treatment. Members can also access other FDA-approved treatments and wellness support through the clinic’s platform.

“Join thousands of satisfied members who are achieving their weight loss goals and improving their health,” the spokesperson added.

While LiveGood Clinic does not accept insurance, patients may use FSA or HSA accounts when approved by their administrator. The service is available across most U.S. states, except for Alabama, Mississippi, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico, because of local regulatory restrictions.
