JA Solar Named The Preferred PV Provider In A New European Study

JA Solar has been found to be the most widely preferred PV manufacturer in Europe, according to energy research firm, Renewables.Digital. The new analysis found that over one-fifth of installers investigated said they use panels from JA Solar, more than any other manufacturer.

Renewables.Digital, a European renewable energy research firm, has just published a study into the 4,000 largest PV installers in Europe. The study, which aimed to find the popularity of known solar panel manufacturers, has shown that Chinese-made solar panels are the market leader in European PV installations.

According to an analysis of Europe’s largest PV installers and the 25 leading PV manufacturers worldwide, most European PV installers disclose that they use PV panels from JA Solar.

JA Solar was found to be the most popular panel provider amongst European PV installers, selected by 20.18% of all those who disclosed which panel manufacturer they used. They were followed by LONGi, which was mentioned by 19.81% and by JinkoSolar (18.09%). Further notable frequently mentioned manufacturers include Trina Solar (17.72%), and more. The full details of the study have been published by Renewables.Digital.

The sample of the study is based on Renewable.Digital’s database of the largest European PV installation firms. The database is a representative overview of the European solar installation market, with most entries based in Germany, the UK, Switzerland, France, and Austria. For the analysis, the research team from Renewables.Digital used a keyword-based web crawler to investigate if on the websites of the 4,000 largest European PV installers, any of the 25 leading global PV manufacturers were mentioned, which was the case for 30% of the entries (1,300)
