Colin Buckley is a two-time combat veteran, father, husband, and artist. His varied life experiences, including being adopted at birth, two tours overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan, becoming a truck driver, farming, and raising his four kids, have given him a sincere and raw voice behind his work.
Buckley hopes the book will raise awareness about the troubled teen industry. In a recent interview with his local newspaper, he said, "I was a ghost. I just shut up because I noticed everybody who’s loud, they got pinpointed and they had a harder time in the program," referring to his time at Ivy Ridge.
