The award-winning winery was established in 1922 by the Bartolucci family, who have been running it ever since. While retaining the traditional dry farming craft that enhances the flavor and body of their organic wines—and that has been in their family for four generations—Madonna Estate is proud to also be moving towards more modern retail practices. Following on from the celebration of their 100th anniversary last year, Madonna Estate is educating wine connoisseurs about traditional winemaking methods with the launch of their online subscription service, which is called Club Carneros.
Subscribers will be able to learn more about the winery’s rare Dolcetto wine, which is made from a red Italian wine grape that is native to the Piedmont region in the northwest of the country. Some of the other organic wines currently featured in the subscription include their 2014 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, their 2021 Madonna Estate Pinot Grigio and their 2021 Madonna Estate Rosetto.
Members of Club Carneros will also be sent regular new wine alerts as the retail selection on the Madonna Estate online store is changed seasonally, and in response to the availability of their limited vintages.
Madonna Estate is currently run by Andrea Bartolucci, the patriarch of the Bartolucci family, and a wine-maker with over 55 years of experience. They are one of the oldest family owned and run vineyards in the Napa Valley and one of the few organic dry farmed wineries.
