A total of 27 Virginia Tech Landscape Architecture students are actively involved, designing master plans eligible for prestigious competitions. The project will progress through a series of structured community meetings:
- Visioning Session – Initial site visit, defining goals and objectives.
- Conceptual Design Phase – Site analysis, exploring spatial concepts, and identifying challenges.
- Master Plan Refinement – Developing infrastructure, visitor circulation, and phased implementation.
- Schematic Design Review – Presenting detailed garden layouts and planting selections.
- Final Design Presentation – Showcasing completed master plans and design elements.
Additionally, students will embark on a three-day field study in the National Capital Region to gain insights from exemplary landscape projects.
