Zennie62Media And Zennie Abraham Have A Long NFL Super Bowl History
Zennie Abraham’s NFL news history goes back to writing about the Oakland Raiders while a columnist for The Montclarion in Oakland. Zennie, whose training is in city planning, public finance, urban economics, and system dynamics modeling, brought his unique view to Oaklanders weekly. Monte Poole, the famed Oakland Tribune Columnist, credits Zennie with breaking the story of the return of the Oakland Raiders to Oakland from LA in 1995.
From 1995 to 1999, Zennie was Economic Advisor to Oakland Mayor Elihu Harris. Then under then-Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown and Oakland City Manager Robert Bobb, Zennie Abraham created the Oakland Alameda County Sports Commission and the Super Bowl XXXIX Bidding Committee. Given no chance and no help from his own employer The City of Oakland, Zennie, as the Oakland Tribune put it, “single-handedly” got Oakland to be one of three finalist cities with Jacksonville and Miami for the right to host the 2005 Super Bowl. Jacksonville won.
Then, Zennie covered the NFL Draft on site, first in New York City, from 2005 to 2014, then wherever it went, a string of credentialed coverage including the virtual 2021 NFL Draft for 20 straight years. Over that time, Zennie Abraham was first to cover the NFL Draft with a YouTube channel, Zennie62 in 2006, and first to do it with livestream, partnering with USTREAM in 2007, and then with SpreeCast and USTREAM in 2011, with Zennie62 YouTube channel “The Vlog Report With Zennie62” as the base platform matted to the Blogger.com blog system that Google bought in 2008.
