Lakewood, NJ - For families seeking to honor the memory of loved ones through traditional Jewish practices, access to dedicated prayer and Torah study services can provide meaningful support during times of loss. Chevrah Lomdei Mishnah provides mourner's kaddish services and related offerings designed to assist individuals with fulfilling important memorial observances while connecting the merit of Torah study and prayer with the remembrance of those who have passed away.

As a nonprofit organization, Chevrah Lomdei Mishnah works with dedicated Torah scholars who complete designated courses of study and prayer services on behalf of departed loved ones. The organization’s mission is centered on utilizing the merits of Torah study and prayer for the aliyas neshamah of those who have passed on while supporting worthy talmidei chachamim who facilitate these efforts. Its services are designed to assist families who wish to arrange meaningful observances but may need support in completing specific traditions.

Through its Kaddish services, Chevrah Lomdei Mishnah provides recital by Torah scholars for the first eleven months following a loved one’s passing, as well as on the yahrtzeit. The organization also offers Yizkor and Tehillim recital services, allowing families to arrange additional forms of remembrance according to their needs. Each service is completed specifically for the sponsored individual rather than combined with multiple names, providing families with a dedicated and personal approach.

Beyond prayer services, Chevrah Lomdei Mishnah offers Mishnah study and Gemara study programs as a merit for departed loved ones. Torah scholars complete selected portions of Mishnah or Gemara, ranging from individual sections to larger courses of study. Families can choose services based on specific milestones, including shloshim and yahrtzeit observances, with completion notifications and commemorative recognition available for significant portions of learning.

The organization also provides educational resources and emotional support materials for individuals navigating the challenges of grief. Through publications, audiovisual content, podcasts, blogs, and learning resources for adults, teens, and children, Chevrah Lomdei Mishnah aims to provide encouragement and guidance throughout the mourning process. These resources complement its religious services by helping families access continued support and inspiration.

What distinguishes Chevrah Lomdei Mishnah is its team of capable and sincere Torah scholars who have studied at premier Torah institutions and are dedicated to completing commissioned learning and prayer services with care. The organization serves families throughout the United States and provides assistance in selecting appropriate options based on individual memorial needs, offering a structured process from service selection through completion.

Chevrah Lomdei Mishnah continues to support families seeking meaningful ways to remember loved ones through Torah study, prayer, and traditional observances.
