KidGlov Advertising Agency Podcast Hosts CEO of Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, Paul White

KidGlov, a boutique, full-service advertising, branding and content marketing agency based out of Lincoln and Omaha, Neb., recently welcomed Paul White, CEO of Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, to its podcast, Agency for Change. The episode explored how the organization helps people with non-visible disabilities, like autism and anxiety, receive more care and understanding at participating businesses.

"Paul White and his team are truly inspiring in their work to make the world more accessible to those with hidden disabilities," said Kelley Peterson, KidGlov chief creative officer and host of the Agency for Change podcast. "For millions, his work is life changing."

Globally, one in seven live with a disability, approximately 1.3 billion people. But while some experience a disability that is visible, many have a non-visible condition or experience a combination of both visible and non-visible conditions. These can be physical, visual, auditory or neurological and range from autism and ADHD to cognitive impairments such as learning difficulties and dementia, as well as mental health conditions.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower enables people with non-visible disabilities to access the support they need through visible wearables like lanyards, pins and more. Their products act as a prompt for someone to choose to let people around them know they have a non-visible disability and that they may need a helping hand, understanding or simply more time.

During the Agency for Change episode, White explores how Hidden Disabilities Sunflower products empower those with disabilities and how the organization evolved from selling products to making a difference across the globe.

"The Sunflower has really been used in businesses to help create that culture of disclosure and to make people feel more confident. And as such, disability and hidden disabilities become much more seen, much more recognized, and hopefully, much more accepted," said White.
