The sixth location in the VDS network provides advanced oral care for pets by board-certified veterinary specialists in dentistry and anesthesia

Veterinary Dentistry Specialists® (VDS), a premier national network of specialty veterinary dentistry and oral surgery practices, is proud to announce the continued expansion of its advanced oral healthcare services.

Located at 1710 Fairmount Avenue, in the heart of Philadelphia, VDS is unique in that board-certified veterinary specialists in dentistry and anesthesiology work together with each patient to ensure optimal care. This unique combination of expertise, along with five-star service, provides the safest, most comfortable, and best possible outcome for each patient.

While oral health diseases are prevalent in most pets over the age of three, there are only approximately 240 active board-certified veterinary dentists and 220 board-certified veterinary anesthesiologists in the United States.

Founded by Carlos Rice, DVM, DAVDC, the network was built on the philosophy that oral health is a critical pillar of a pet’s overall well-being. Under his leadership, VDS has grown into a prestigious destination for primary care veterinarians seeking specialized intervention for their patients, and pet owners who want this advanced level of expertise. Joining Dr. Rice in leading the clinical vision for this location is Viacheslav Eroshin, DVM, DEVDC, DAVDC, an internationally recognized expert in the field.

“Our mission is to provide a level of care and service that elevates the quality of life for our patients,” said Dr. Rice. “By focusing exclusively on dentistry and oral surgery, we can diagnose and treat oral diseases that would otherwise often go untreated.”

VDS emphasizes a "concierge-style" experience, functioning as a seamless extension of the general practitioner’s team. This collaborative ecosystem ensures that pets receive a precise diagnosis and a tailored treatment plan in a boutique-style environment designed to reduce stress to the patient and pet parent alike.

Services include endodontics, extractions, jaw fracture repair, malocclusions, oral cancer surgery, orthodontics, palate surgery, periodontics, prosthodontics and restoratives, salivary gland surgery, and more.

VDS Philadelphia welcomes patients by appointment Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00am – 6:00pm. Referral from a primary care veterinarian is always appreciated but not required. For more information, call 267-946-3140, or visit vdsvets.com.
