Tony Horton Returns to Tonal as Company Expands Coaching Roster and Programming Amid Continued Growth

With thousands of workouts tailored to all experience levels—from beginners to seasoned lifters—Tonal continues to expand its platform with new coaching talent and structured training programs that keep members progressing. Tonal serves more than 175,000 members and maintains industry-leading retention rates with consistent year-over-year growth, a testament to the versatility of its programs and coaches that allow members to personalize their routines and build progressive strength.

“This year’s programming slate is incredibly intentional,” said Jenna Moore, Tonal’s Senior Manager of Performance and Talent. “We’re building on the strength-first foundation members already love while introducing new coaches and structured programs that help them train with purpose and see real progress over time.”

Tony Horton Returns with New Program

After decades of experience in the fitness industry, Horton remains a leading advocate and example for strength training as a foundation for longevity. His Tonal programming will roll out beginning April 3, with a focus on efficient and effective strength training workouts, as well as building muscle to support healthy aging and longevity.

“People are learning you can get a lot done in a short period of time,” Horton said. “Exercise is hard, but the way these programs on Tonal are structured are what keep people coming back. I’m 67 and I’ve never felt stronger or faster in my life, and I attribute much of that to training sustainably over time with tools on Tonal.”

New Coaches Add Versatility to Tonal’s Platform

Beginning May 4, Tonal will add three new coaches to its Live workout schedule, each bringing unique expertise across strength, mobility, performance, and recovery:

  • Margaret Valenzuela: A coach with more than a decade of experience, is passionate about helping women build strength through every stage of life. She is especially passionate about inspiring women to lift heavy as they enter perimenopause and menopause.
  • Kenny Ferrer: Former minor league baseball player and yoga instructor who blends strength training with mindfulness and recovery-focused training.
  • Alexandra Mack: Personal trainer and distance running coach who brings an athletic performance perspective to Tonal’s strength training platform. She also has unique insight on how strength training helps runners and other athletes achieve their performance goals.

More Programming Ahead

Tonal will also introduce additional structured training programs in the coming months, including longer-term, progressive strength programs that help members see real progress over a longer period of time and take the guesswork out of strength training.

Additional programs are geared toward female members that are lifting heavy on Tonal, inspiring them to push their limits in all life stages, from prenatal to menopause.

Upcoming releases include a 10-week HIIT and strength hybrid program with Coach Ackeem Emmons, an eight-week muscle-building program with Coach Kendall “Woody” Wood, advanced Pilates programming, and new specialty strength programs designed to help members train for strength, performance, and longevity.
