Reproductive Endocrinologist and Former Jefferson-RMA Fellow Dr. Brent Hanson Joins RMA San Diego, Strengthening Fertility Care in the Region

Reproductive Medicine Associates (RMA), one of the nation's leading reproductive service providers and a pioneer in IVF research, today announced that Dr. Brent Hanson, a reproductive endocrinologist and former Jefferson-RMA fellow, has joined the RMA Southern California clinical team. Board-certified in both obstetrics/gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility, Dr. Hanson is now seeing patients at RMA San Diego, located at 4510 Executive Drive, Suite 150.

Dr. Hanson earned his medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine, where he was awarded the Dr. Hugh Carr Scholarship for academic excellence. He completed his obstetrics & gynecology residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City where he was honored with the Best Grand Rounds presentation and Resident Research Award.

He went on to complete a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Thomas Jefferson University – Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey, where he trained in state-of-the art laboratory techniques and conducted research on preimplantation genetic testing, oocyte cryopreservation, male factor infertility, embryo culture, and third-party reproduction for LGBTQIA2S+ patients. Before joining RMA San Diego, Dr. Hanson practiced in Minneapolis.

“Throughout his career, Dr. Hanson has been repeatedly recognized for his outstanding research, clinical excellence, and commitment to education,” said Dr. Scott Morin, West Coast Medical Director at IVI RMA North America. “We are thrilled to welcome him to our Southern California clinical team, following the recent addition of another Jefferson-RMA fellow, Dr. Haley Genovese. Dr. Hanson’s experience and nationally acclaimed research will further strengthen our exemplary San Diego fertility clinic.”

“RMA is nationally recognized for shaping fertility care through advanced research and innovation, with outcomes that speak for themselves,” said Dr. Hanson. “Building a family is a deeply personal and high-stakes journey. Successful outcomes matter. I’m honored to join this respected team and build on my fellowship experience within the RMA Network. It is my life's work to guide patients with honesty and care as we work together toward their family-building goals.”

Dr. Hanson is now accepting new patients at RMA San Diego. Schedule a consultation here or call 866-762-3140.
