Company selected from 193 global applicants for disruptive approach to Zero Trust network security
Elisity, the pioneer in identity-based microsegmentation, today announced that it has been named a winner of the SINET16 Innovator Award. The company was one of 16 emerging companies identified by SINET, selected from a pool of 193 applications from 19 countries.
Applications are evaluated in a series of two rounds by the SINET Judging Committee composed of 112 security professionals, including leading CISOs, risk executives, experts in government intelligence and defense agencies, venture capitalists, and investment bankers.
“Winning the coveted SINET16 Innovator Award is a tremendous honor,” said James Winebrenner, CEO of Elisity. “It is especially gratifying to be recognized for our disruptive approach to identity-based microsegmentation by such an esteemed panel of judges from the practitioner, security vendor, and venture capitalist communities. This recognition validates our mission to make Zero Trust network security accessible and achievable for enterprises without the complexity and disruption of traditional approaches.”
Preventing lateral movement attacks while maintaining operational continuity has become increasingly critical for organizations facing the growing threat of ransomware, data exfiltration, and operational disruption from compromised systems. Traditional network segmentation approaches often require extensive network redesigns, new hardware deployments, and a complex implementation that can take months or years, leaving organizations vulnerable.
“I don’t invest in buzzwords. I invest in outcomes. Elisity turns segmentation from a science project into a measurable control—deployment speed, containment, and uptime. No more hiding behind re-plumbing complexity and policy brittleness,” said Steve Ward, Senior Advisor at Insight Partners.
"Elisity's recognition as a SINET16 Innovator validates our investment thesis in their groundbreaking approach to network security. Enabling customers to achieve comprehensive microsegmentation in weeks rather than years represents the kind of transformative efficiency enterprises demand," said Morgan Gerlak, Partner at TCV.
Elisity was selected based on cumulative scoring associated with:
- The urgency in the marketplace for its products and solutions
- The strength and experience of the leadership team and board
- The level of innovation the company is bringing to the market
- The company's competitive positioning in the market landscape
- Investment potential and growth trajectory
“SINET hosts the annual SINET16 Innovator Awards in service of our mission: to advance innovation to defeat global cybersecurity threats,” said Robert D. Rodriguez, Chairman of SINET. “Innovation begins with increased awareness of new and emerging technologies that will better society. Congratulations to this year’s class of SINET16 Innovators.”
