The American Water Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization established by American Water, joined the American Red Cross Disaster Responder Program earlier this year, donating $250,000 to help ensure the Red Cross has vital resources to prepare for and respond to disasters big and small across the country, anytime and anywhere. The program takes a proactive approach toward disaster relief and supports the Red Cross with strong infrastructure, trained volunteers, and more when disasters occur.
American Water employee volunteers also support the American Red Cross by organizing blood drives, serving on regional boards, and participating in other initiatives.
American Water, along with other listed companies and their charitable organizations, is recognized on the Global Giving Campaign website and honored with a commemorative custom ornament featured on the holiday trees in front of the NYSE. The 101st Annual Tree Lighting will occur in Experience Square, in front of the New York Stock Exchange, on December 5, 2024.
