McKissock Learning Announces the National Rollout of the Official 2024-2025 7-Hour On-Demand Update Course for Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP)

On-demand version of 7-Hour National USPAP Update Course Becomes Available State-by-State Starting Today

McKissock Learning, the leading national provider of online education for real estate appraisers, today announced the rollout of the official 2024-2025 7-Hour National Update Course for the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), written by The Appraisal Foundation. McKissock Learning has been the exclusive provider of The Appraisal Foundation’s national on-demand USPAP update course since 2012.

“The Foundation is pleased to once again partner with McKissock to develop an on-demand version of the 2024-2025 7-Hour National USPAP Update Course,” said The Appraisal Foundation President Dave Bunton. “As always, we are committed to advancing the appraisal profession and providing resources for appraisers to maintain the highest valuation standards.”

All appraisers must take the USPAP update course every two calendar years as part of their mandatory continuing education (CE) requirements to maintain their state credential. With the Foundation’s official USPAP Update Course, offered in an on-demand format exclusively by McKissock, professionals will explore current topics and case studies and how USPAP applies. Students will learn how to use the USPAP publication to answer their day-to-day USPAP questions.

“Keeping appraisers up to date in the profession is the heart of what we do, and this official USPAP Update Course will equip appraisers with crucial knowledge that they can immediately bring back to the job,” said Nancy Gerome, General Manager of Appraisal Education at McKissock Learning. “For appraisers interested in leveraging our expert instructors and immense knowledge base, we offer a membership, which includes the USPAP Update Course, plus access to all of our courses, resources, professional development tools and a community of highly engaged peers we have brought together over the last several decades.”

The downloadable materials for the on-demand USPAP update course includes a highly useful merged and linked two-book edition of the new stand-alone USPAP publication and the companion volume, the 2024 USPAP Guidance and Reference Manual. The new 2024 USPAP Guidance and Reference Manual is comprised of three sections: Advisory Opinions, FAQs, and the Reference Index (formally known as the Reference Manual), which aims to help appraisers quickly find answers to USPAP-related questions about common appraisal issues. The Advisory Opinions and the FAQs were formally part of the USPAP publication, but have been combined into a separate publication to increase flexibility to update guidance materials to address emerging issues and challenges while the standards remain more constant.

The 7-Hour National USPAP Update Course focuses on appraisal issues that affect daily appraisal practice, with an emphasis on current issues such as fair housing and antidiscrimination laws. This course fulfills the 7-hour requirement established by the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) of The Appraisal Foundation. The course purchase includes all required materials for the class, including The Appraisal Foundation’s new stand-alone 2024 Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and the companion volume, the 2024 USPAP Guidance and Reference Manual.

McKissock will also offer the 7-Hour National USPAP Update Course via livestream as well as an in-person classroom version. Both course options are presented by AQB-certified USPAP instructors.

The official 2024-2025 7-Hour National USPAP Update Course is available on-demand starting today. For more information on the USPAP Update Course and to check if the new course is approved yet in your state, visit https://www.mckissock.com/appraisal/uspap/.
