For the first time, Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people, planet and business health, has received a top score of 100 on the Disability Equality Index and been recognized as a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion.
Led by the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), the nation’s largest disability rights organization, and Disability:IN, the global business disability inclusion network, the Disability Equality Index is a nationally recognized annual assessment for businesses to gauge their level of workplace inclusion for people with disabilities and a prominent benchmarking tool to help companies build a roadmap of measurable, tangible actions to achieve disability inclusion and equality.
“We know that a diverse and inclusive team is directly tied to the growth and success of our company,” said Vice President, Human Resources, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Dexter Davis. “Fostering a culture of belonging that encourages and celebrates disability inclusion is critical to achieving our goals, and the support and resources we provide help our associates and their families thrive.”
In 2020, Ecolab launched its Disability Ability & Wellness Network (DAWN), an employee resource group focused on supporting associates with differing abilities and those in caretaking roles of loved ones with disabilities. The company continues to commit resources to expand recruitment of people with disabilities and develop partnerships with community and diversity outreach partners.
