In a way, he delivered, but the real surprise wasn’t just performance. It was strategy.

For years, Nvidia’s dominance has come from offering a one-size-fits-most solution with its GPUs. But the Groq partnership is a clear acknowledgment that AI workloads are becoming more specialized, especially when it comes to inference.

Groq’s architecture is optimized for speed and efficiency at the token level, which is exactly what matters for applications like chatbots, copilots, and real-time AI agents.

By bringing that capability in-house (without fully acquiring Groq), Nvidia is effectively plugging one of the few gaps in its AI stack.

Why Does This Matter for Markets?
