Western Australian security door manufacturer and installer KNA Security is celebrating one year since relocating from Wangara to a larger, purpose-built facility in Neerabup, marking a significant milestone in the company’s continued growth and investment in local manufacturing.
The move, completed twelve months ago, was driven by increasing demand and the need for improved production efficiency. Since relocating, KNA Security has undertaken a series of major upgrades across its factory and operations, including the installation of computerised cutting saws, additional fabrication benches, improved racking systems, and upgraded internal software and systems.
“These improvements have had a flow-on effect across the entire business,” said Wayne Wright, Director of KNA Security. “From manufacturing accuracy and lead-time control through to workflow, stock management, and overall consistency, the upgrades have allowed us to operate at a higher level while maintaining the quality standards we’re known for.”
The Neerabup facility has enabled KNA Security to streamline production of its security doors, screens, and related products, reinforcing its commitment to factory-direct manufacturing and local WA supply chains. By investing in automation, layout efficiency, and digital systems, the business has improved both internal processes and customer outcomes.
Over the past year, the expanded premises have also allowed the team to grow and work more efficiently, with dedicated space for fabrication, assembly, storage, and administration, something that was increasingly difficult to achieve at the former Wangara site.
“Our focus has always been on building quality products locally and backing that up with reliable service,” Wright added. “The move to Neerabup wasn’t just about having more space, it was about creating a facility that supports long-term growth, staff development, and better results for our customers.”
As KNA Security moves into its second year at the Neerabup location, the company remains focused on continuous improvement, technology investment, and strengthening its position as a trusted, locally manufactured security door and screen provider in Western Australia.
