At its regularly scheduled meeting, the Board of Directors of First National
Lincoln Corporation today accepted a letter of retirement from Bruce A.
Bartlett as a Director of the Company. In September of 2003, Mr. Bartlett
reached 70 years of age which is the mandatory retirement age for members of
the Company's Board of Directors.
