EXHIBIT 1
Euroseas Ltd. Declares Quarterly Dividend of $0.24 Per Common Share
Maroussi, Greece May 09, 2007 - Euroseas Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESEA), an owner and operator of drybulk and container carrier vessels and a provider of seaborne transportation for drybulk and containerized cargoes, announced today that it has declared a dividend of $0.24 per common share for the first quarter of 2007. The dividend is payable on June 15, 2007 to all shareholders of record as of June 1, 2007. This dividend marks an increase of 9.1% from the prior quarter's dividend of $0.22 per share.
Aristides Pittas, Chairman and CEO of Euroseas commented: We are happy to be in a position to pay a dividend of $0.24 per share which is $0.02 per share or 9.1% above our target minimum dividend. This is the highest quarterly dividend we have paid since our private placement in August 2005 and continues our trend of declaring and paying stable and increasing common stock dividends which we have established over the last six quarters. This increased dividend does not compromise our growth strategy as it still represents only a portion of our earnings per share and cash flow. Further, it underlines our ability to accretively deploy the funds we raised in our private and public offerings over the last two years.
